The Hebrew Story Letters of the Qaballah: Tet (Teth)

THE LETTER: TET (TETH)-Serpent
[Illustrated Card From: Ask the Kabala oracle cards--by Deepak Chopra & Michael "Zappy" Zapolin with Alys R. Yablon

The Letter Tet begins the Hebrew word Tov, meaning "goodness" and it is also the beginning letter in Teth, meaning "Serpent-snake" In Genesis 1:31 we are told," And God saw all that he had made and behold it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning the sixth day."
Every day of the Creation Story, Gad "saw that it was good",  but it didn't become "very good" until humans were created...the reason being, Nature couldn't fulfill it's great potential until human came into being.  Let's  take a look at Nature. Often we don't realize the miracles of Nature that take place everyday....did you ever see a soft-easily squished mushroom pushing its way through inches of concrete? A mushroom alone is miraculous enough but softness breaking apart the hardest of barriers, with no apparent effort is a wonder! Nature is astounding, and we have forgotten the miraculous nature of ourselves as well. Often we are focused so much on "what we don't have" we have forgotten the blessings we do have! We have inherited the Kingdom Of God ( The bottom Sephiroth-Malkuth--Kingdom) but like spoiled unappreciative children of A Rich Parent (s), we forgotten the effort it took to make such miraculous wealth (14.7 billion years of "I AM") . The letter Tet reminds us of that "goodness" all around us and also of the "very goodness" that we are created by! (Goodness is God-ness).
As Teth, we are given the meaning of Serpent. which is a representation of regenerative force (Sheds its own skin to expand and liberate itself) , also the symbol of a serpent with its own tail in its mouth, is the symbol for Wisdom and the Universe ( Physics String Theory states that there is serpentine force [strings of energy} in all atomic particles that is suspected of creating the particles). So in the Lust Card of the Thoth Tarot Deck (Strength card in other decks) we have the "enlightened Serpent" as a tail on the Lion---The Lion being the symbol of the Sign Leo, which is attributed to the Sun. All this represents the greatest strength that humans can perceive, i.e. the Light of the Sun. Through study, we find that the Solar Power represented in this card can open the higher levels of consciousness beyond the Sun (Tiphareth) on the Tree of Life....This Solar Power is the Lion's secret---for it is the Kundalini which is represented as the Sun's Spiritual Fire shown as the Serpent Force! The Goddess (Binah) Mother of all Form, controls this Kundalini Fire (Rides it) and Solar radiance, to create Living Forms! She is the Spirit of  Female-Magnetic Force  and Chokmah, is the Fiery Spirit of Male- Electric Force. By her "Riding" the Radiant Sun, She magnetically shapes male-electric force into a serpentine shape that "enlivens" form! Now I know this is a vast simplification of this card, but it is no less powerful in its "Goodness" (God-ness)! The Path of Teth, is of a Yellow-Green color,; a musical note of E and a astrological sign of Leo (Fixed Fire) and the meaning of [Snake} with the simple letter---Taste (Taste is also attributed to Snakes because they "Taste their environment' rather than see it as we do. ) The explanation of the Path of Teth will be treated to it's own blog...just let me say that the lion-serpent (Dragon) is one aspect of Life Force which, in manifestation is a duality of activity and passivity. Kundalini, the Sacred Fire is the active aspect--purposely unleashed and directed by Will (Will-to-Be) .and of course the "passive" Aspect of  this duality is the Fixed Fire of the Sun.  Now with the letter Tet, we can see that God creates only "Goodness" and that what appears to be the greatest evil must actually conceal good.  This is the principle of the Lust Card which shows the Whore of Babylon as representing the epitome of virginity (symbolized by 4 flowers in the Golden Dawn Deck) the principle being that of the greatest evil concealing the greatest good. Just as Death conceals Life. Sex conceals the Union of Goddess/God! Okay, this is a lot to take in and much self-study is required to understand that good/bad, time/space/right/wrong and life/death are the mating of opposites  in order to power life! They aren't separates such as the statements of good and bad, or time and space or life and death signify. They are Wholeness! I just love these studies!

I do consider all of the concepts you've presented for your post. They're very convincing and can definitely work. Nonetheless, the posts are very short for novices. May you please extend them a little from next time? Thanks for the post.
