If you have faithfully followed my blog you know that I have been through the 72 Thoth Deck Tarot cards twice. Once in a esoteric form and once in a more common form.
For the novice, these cards often are fun playthings, where we can practice Hollywood style divination and since they are condemned by fundamentalists....they are perceived as a little bit naughty and an easy rebellion which just adds to the fun. However, this "fun"is not to be scoffed at by the Initiates as the very nature of Spirit, is Naughty as it is an "Outlaw" whose very existence is outside the Rules made by Man and the dictates attributed to God!
You see, we are the Observer, who changes the rules just by the act of observing alone. This is known in physics as the "Observer Effect" a phenomena noticed by eminent Physicist John Wheeler. Wheeler, noticed that the fundamental core of the Universe is a field of possibilities that is compelled to make choices when asked questions. For instance, is an electron particle like? The universe says yes to this question and shows us the activity of an electron as a particle. However, if you ask, "Is an electron a wave", the Universes also answers with a yes, and shows us the activity of electrons as waves. To make a long story, (Study of the Qaballah is a long story) almost palatable to short attention spans, the Core of the Universe is conscious and Archtypical..Archetypes are states of Conscious energy and/or concentrations of psychic energy; They are states of information, energy and awareness in potential. This is the "Collective Universal Unconscious" of Carl Jung and it is important to notice that "UN" doesn't mean "non-conscious" but rather invisible conscious and since 99.4% of ourselves ia invisible, it is rather a greater state of our Conscious inheritance than our "conscious mind". This is the realm of the Divine...the Theosphere, the Virtual, that flows "down" to the Mental domain of thoughts feelings, emotion , fantasy, dreams--the Imagination and then "down" to the Physical Domain, the biosphere and Geosphere, where everything is sensual.
Scientists have theorized that photons are carriers of both subjective and objective information in this universes (Photons are basically "Star Dust" of which all things are made.) and since the whole universes is permeated with Photons, the universe is a conscious being.....A Supreme Being (Mapped out as the Tree of Life), in which cause and effect are fluid and where life and death happen at "light speed". This is the Place of Spiritual-Archetypes, and when the question is willfully focused on the invisible which many of us call "spirit", we get the answer as a "Story" in light speed. The Thoth Deck Tarot is a painstaking assembly of Archetypical data that has taken thousands of years to assemble by the various Gnostic Initiates. There "foot prints" have been tracked from the Essene, Sons of Seth, Daughters of Seth, Sumerian, Greeks, Egyptians, Hindus,Aryans and some say even to the mysterious land of Mu.....That is a long legacy indeed!
Tarot helps us ask the "right questions" and thus is oracular in ability. When your divinity ask questions of the Universal Divine you get Divine answers.
However, the format of the Divine is Archetypical, so words are of no use to the querent....you must ask in willed imagery! The 72 cards of the Tarot Deck are not "just fun entertainment"...they are Oracles of the Universal Unconscious. To those of us who have studied, meditated often or even obsessively on the Qaballah and its Tarot Archetypes, become Psychics whose information comes from the Psychic realms of Concentrated Energy Archetypes....The Divine Universal Unconscious. The Tarot helps us remember ourselves so that we can claim our Universal Inheritance of I AM ME! When you get a Tarot Reading, you are using a Reader as a visible focus point for Archetypical Knowledge, which is in the Concentrated Energy of the Archetype and/or Realm of the Theosphere. In this Invisible place, you are well and Truly known as Archetypical knowledge----made manifest. This is available to us all----but we have lost the ability to "speak' to the Divine as we use word as language (worded language is truly babel) rather than the images of Archetype. The Tarot and Gnostic studies may seem vast and complicated, but that is the nature of journeys, especially infinite ones, to look at the whole journey, one feels overwhelm with distance and may never begin. but if the traveler looks only at the footstep ahead, the journey becomes an adventure of motion and liberation from the past. To get a Tarot reading, is but a step; a step in the direction of expansion and liberation from oppressed thought. To study the Qaballah, is to Travel back to the inheritance an accepting Child will receive from the Richest of Parents..Mother/Father God. which is another way to say from the Source/Core of all Identity.
Thank you for your interest and comments. May you live long and prosper.
