Tarot Card Comparisons: Thoth Deck Ace of Cups & the Erotic Tarot 1 of Water

  The Ace of Cups:
Because of your previous readings of my blog, you may understand that Kether is the "Dark energy & Binah is the Dark Matter" or "Dark Mother", who  really isn't understood by us. Kether, the Source of All, is not known to us objectively, but its presence is subjectively understood as a movement within all that moves.

Again, the Aces are attributed to Kether and they represent the most pure forms of energy. Each is a specific type, and density of Energy that we call the Alchemical Elements.

THE ACE OF CUPS: Is Kether in Briah, depicting the influence of Kether on the Mental Level. The Ace of Cups is the Root Powers of Water, an element used to symbolize the Consciousness and emotions (in combination with Fire) and is often called "The Dark Goddess" or "Dark Mother".

The Thoth Deck Version of this Card shows the wave action characteristic of physical water implying the activity that encloses and directs pure consciousness. As the Universe of Energy is woven out of waves of consciousness, ideas, if you will, thus the Web in the background.

The Cup, is the Womb of Form, and emerges from the Lotus (Crown) implying the idea of Womb, the seed of the concept of conception and not a sex as of yet. Thus, the Ace of Wands is the idea of Phallus-ejaculation and the Ace of Cups is the Idea of Womb-reception.

The Ace of Cups is derived from-Yoni Moon, as the Ace of Wands is from Phallus- Sun. Thus we have the "Holy Grail", here the dark Sea of Binah supports the Two in One Lotuses that fill the cup with Life Fluid, be it symbolized, by water, wine or blood. Two in One, is the realization of the Womb and Phallus.

In Milo Manara’s Erotic Tarot card, the 1 of Water, the bared breast is a Cup, water as a sea that floats the war ship; the war ship being a “male force” and safe -guarder of the Female Pirate (Grail). The falling in love and/or sensuality meaning of this card is displayed by her baring of the breast and the expression on her face. If one thinks about it, a sensually excited, erotic woman is a more true representation of the “Holy Grail” than a Christianized denial image of a cup. After all the Grail is the Womb of all Form.

Manara assigns the sense of sight, imagination and the spiritual, emotional sphere to the Erotic Tarot 1 of Water. Thus, the element of Water, is the substance of daydreams, mental images, the lure of the unknown and exotic and adventurous situations, as depicted by his card's illustration. The 1 of Water implies a never ending stream of sensuality, of falling in love.

The Astrological meaning of Manara's Erotic Tarot 1 of Water, is the Element of Water itself and the emotional states of awareness.

According to Crowley, the White Light descending into the Ace of Cups is depiction of the Holy Ghost and/or Holy Spirit that enlivens all form, i.e. the male semen like flow of force. The Holy Spirit represents the Moving- All of Spiral- Energy.WHEN THE ACE OF CUPS or 1 of Water IS THROWN DURING A DIVINATION:   It implies:
  • A new attitude brings rewards.
  • in a period of One Year, the querent will develop a new relationship, or new awareness about existing relationship.
  • Is experiencing a new bust of empathy, emotion, sentiment or enthusiasm  This is a time for staying open and vulnerable in order to reap rewards.
  • The opening of spiritual, psychic, intuitive channels
  • Heart opening to the gift of Love.
Thank you for your interest and comments. May you live long and prosper....sensually.

In this awesome scheme of things you secure an A for effort and hard work. Where you confused me was first on your particulars. As it is said, details make or break the argument.. And that could not be more true right here. Having said that, allow me reveal to you what exactly did do the job. The text can be highly persuasive and that is most likely why I am taking an effort to opine. I do not make it a regular habit of doing that. 2nd, although I can easily notice a leaps in logic you come up with, I am not necessarily confident of just how you appear to connect your ideas which in turn produce your final result. For right now I will, no doubt subscribe to your issue however hope in the future you actually connect the dots much better.

Thank you for your insightful commentary. Once again, this is a blog and not a book! I will not nor am I able to explain in detail every idea. However, you are welcome to research them and find out for your self if I am in error or not. Try the internet or get the books I recommend in my blogs for more detailed info. May you live long and prosper.
