The Prince of Disks
represents the physical architect and the
builder of new worlds. On the Thoth Tarot Card, the steel chariot represents his steely eyed
determination that he uses to build fecund and fruitful worlds (flowers
and fruit in the background). The many little boulders in the back of
the Chariot, are from breaking down big obstructions into little ones so
his new worlds are less obstructive and difficult for the alive. The
Prince of Disks reforms the body through exercise as he is a sportsman.
Like Taurus the Bull, he forges ahead, unimpeded to form abundant and
beautiful structures. The double Helix, that he is holding shows his
ability to build new worlds that can be implemented consciously (winged
helmet) in concrete and aesthetic ways.
This card represents
mastery of body, through sports and exercise.
The Spiral Tarot Knight of Pentacles, is comparable to the Thoth Prince of Disks. In the Thoth Deck, the Knights are Warrior Kings and comparable to the Kings of other decks.
The Spiral Tarot, concentrates on the mundane meanings of the Card, and depicts a dependable, dismounted young man that is sporting the sign of Virgo on his belt buckle. Virgo being an earth sign, is also a sign of fertility this observation is also supported by his kneeling in a garden of green crops. Over his right shoulder is the alchemical sign of the Earthly element and his right foot is resting on the Pentacle sign of earth.
In past blogs
, I have stated that Tiphareth is The Central Sun
of our conscious energy expression into incarnation, it is the "son of God", therefore the Prince. Tiphareth is
called -Beauty, and is the central glowing yellow Sephiroth in the Tree of Life. Tiphareth is as high as our Personal Conscious can go up the
Tree. This state of Consciousness is known in the Mysteries, as the
Christ, or Buddha consciousness and it brings the body into a "higher"
state of vibratory life force that we know as "unconditional Love".
This manifestation of the "Sun" within, is noted for
changing the physiology of the body. However, only through diligent
meditative techniques and ritual divination is this conscious state
possible to physically experience.
THE PRINCE OF DISKS:
called the Knight of Pentacles, in other Tarot Decks), is the Prince of
the Chariot of Earth. Prince and Emperor of the Gnomes and is
attributed to the last Decan of Aries and the first two Decan of Taurus.
Prince is the Air of Earth and/ or Specific Air of Primal Earth. The
Chariot of the Prince of Disks is pulled by the Bull of Taurus,
demonstrating this fertile attribute.
Being Air of Earth, the Prince is
Intelligible Earth, as Air is Mind. Thus he brings incredible energy to
physical matters. Such intelligent Earth, is the instinctual mind that
shows its incredible focus on building, as in bees, ants, etc.
the Thoth Prince of Disks is so active, his armor is light and nonrestrictive.
On his head is the Bull helmet an animal sacred to the earth. The disk
in his hand is an orb resembling a globe, marked in agricultural
mathematical symbols. The orbed scepter, that is surmounted by a cross,
is a symbol of the Great Work accomplished. The Great Work
being manifesting the Higher States of Conscious Energy, in the lower
states of consciousness below, on earth; by physical focus and attention
What many of us don't understand that if you empty your brain
of random thoughts, while only focusing on the task at hand, you are
meditating! Even a daily commute in your car, with radio off, and doing
nothing but "hands on the wheel" driving, while paying absolute
attention to traffic, is a meditation! The Prince of Disks personal-intelligence
knows that multi-tasking, is just another way to do nothing well and therefore may seem slow or lethargic to others who are frantically running hither and yon. However, he is methodical in his tasks and is a very dependable worker.
The Thoth Prince of Disks, represents the Green Man force of Celtic mysteries, whose
job it is to bring forth, from the Earthly element, that Vegetation,
which is the sustenance of Spirit itself. The Spiral Tarot also seems to acknowledge the bringing forth of vegetation, as he is situated in a tilled fertile field.
The Mother Earth makes the
form, he enlivens it and enforces the design.
Character of the Knight of Pentacles or the Prince of Disks personality, is methodical, competent, ingenious,
enduring, trustworthy, cautious, and imperturbable. All the qualities of
a very capable manger and a steadfast preserving worker. Very good at
horticulture and hard, patient work.
This Knight or Prince of Mind
and Earth, is ingenious as he constantly seeks new ways of using common
things. Always adapting the circumstance to his slow and methodical
purpose. This is to say, that his plans are well thought out. His
emotions are subdued, thus he may appear insensitive and maybe even dull
and slow of wit. But this is because of the misinterpretation of his mental
activity of which he won't devote to ideas that he understands to be
beyond his expertise. Simply, the reaction of others to this stalwart
character, depends entirely on their temperament and not his.
