The Shadow Series, Tarot Card Comparisons: The Thoth Ace of Swords and The Shadow Tarot, Spirit of Dark Energy at the Event Horizon/ Paimon.

The Tarot of EliThe Thoth-Ace of Swords: The mental world of thinking. The time of Fall and the space of West.

Swords are representative of change, new ventures and ideas, the intellect, the mind, reasoning, analysis, planning, communication, logic, opinions, judgments, and all thought processes of conscious.

The clouds below the Ace of Swords, is the confusion of the clouded mind, that the Ace of swords has moved above. It is mental clarity, creative thinking, the inspired and innovative mind.

The Crescent Moons, represent a feminine influence that is receptive and balances the mind (as above so below) and the two spheres are the Sun which symbolize  dynamic expression or masculine mental force.

The serpent handle represents the and self-regenerating and renewing mind.

The radiant crown, is expanded awareness (enlightenment) that comes from the piercing mental clarity of the Ace of Swords. New insight, "a light bulb moment".

From a Tibetan Tantra's point of view, this is the "diamond consciousness." The Ace of Swords is associated with the Air Sign months of Libra (September 21- October 21), Aquarius ( January 21- February 21),Gemini (May 21-June 21).

Again, all Aces stand for a years time so when this card is thrown, the qualities of experience, creative, innovative, mental clarity want to be expressed  through you for the period of one year. This would be a good year to actualize a dream or  to implement and original idea. It would be a good time to write, edit, research, brainstorm, initialize intuitive thinking, and for firm decision making.

The Ace of Swords, is the application of Wisdom which flows down from Kether (Supreme conscious) to  the Sephiroth (state of conscious energy) #2- Chokma/Wisdom on the Qabalistic Tree of Life. This card is Air, and can become notably passive without the balanced application of Fire (wands) and Water (cups) which are the original parents of Air.

The Unknowable Kether, The bright White Sephiroth, is often depicted as the Point, The Crown and the Swastika, as explained in past blogs; However, these images only direct us into a journey of understanding, that has no goal. We may say the goal, is to understand the Infinite, but the word infinite, even if understood, is a human invention and therefore inadequate to explain the "No-Thing" before Time.

The point is representative of the Singularity that was before the Big Bang but as the words may imply some vast understanding, this explanation is empty of experience and thus  to us, incomprehensible.

Yet, we are also potentially anything, which makes us not as comfortably understood as one would like. It Seems that the Divine Collective Unconscious, wishes us to be as vast as our forms seem to be limited. This is seen by the Imagination's (No-Thing) ability to expand concepts so far beyond reality, that maybe, reality is just imagined.

One moment we are the Human dreaming of being Spiral Energy, the next we are Spiral Energy dreaming we are a human. Much like that old Chinese tale of a man dreaming he was a butter fly, then upon awakening he wondered if he was a butterfly dreaming he was a human. Considering Kether, is much the same.

The Qabalist knows that All is Mind, and we are not talking about the human consciousness, but the Mind that the Dream of the Universe floats in.  The Ace of Swords is a "seed or essence  of Mind", The Root Powers of Air and symbolizes the influence of Kether in the Astral World.

This may be understood as the motion in the Currents of Astral Psycho-Fluid, however, that is just the "elephants foot print in the jello" and not the Power itself. The Astral realms are the realms of Fleeting Forms...nothing solid.  Thus the Ace of Swords is a potent card which can be extremely good or extremely evil.
Evil, is Live spelled backwards, and basically implies devolution  rather than evolution.

To move forward progressively, is Living, to Move backward, is "living in the past" which is a from of "living dead", therefore evil, since the past isn't now. Thus we have philosopher's saying."Let the dead bury the dead...".

The Mind is called the Element of Air, for it is Heated by Passions, as Air is heated by Sun, and thus it can become violent and life threatening. However, this is avoided if the Will of Spirit, is the controller of Passion, then the Mind becomes a powerful focus of Force that is both Life Expanding and Liberating.

The Ace of Wands represents a natural force, while the Ace of Swords represents that which is invoked; A force called upon.
The currents generated by Kether on the Astral are both dynamic and erratic, having the potential to be applied at will to different situations. Thus, we have the description of a "whirling force" that gains strength through trouble. To Qabalists, this is an affirmation of Divine authority and may become the Sword of Wrath, punishment and affliction. Pure mind has no conscience, it is up to us to supply discrimination to thought.

But let us not despair, for the Ace of Swords represents the Sword of the Magus crowned in the twenty-two diadem of light. To those of magic, the number 22 refers to Atu known as 22=2x11, the Magical manifestation of  Chokmah, Wisdom, and the Logos. In Hebrew letters, that are numbers, is the Word of Law, that blazes forth clearing the dark clouds of a Mind based on fear, or survival thinking. I would suggest getting the Book 777 by Aleister Crowley to further study this, as the words "Achath Ruach Elohim Chiim" are the numbers 777 and means in English translation,"One is Spirit of the Gods of the Living". The Ruach being Tiphareth, the Solar Logos.
There is a lot of investigative Gematria to understand here so get the book!

If you are familiar with the Hu-Man (God-Mind) Aura, The Super-conscious is the first "Being" of eight "Beings" of the Psyche that make up the condensed weaving that constitutes your physical presence. The Super-conscious is represented by the Ace of Swords.  If you remember past blogs, in Qabalah and Tantra, a "Being" is an immortal state of conscious energy. What may really surprise you, is that your Personality, can become an Immortal "Being" (when united with the Solar Self known as The Christ or Buddha consciousness/Tiphareth)!  All of us can become "Dali-Lamas"  when all Eight Beings dance as One! The Whirling dance of I AM ME!

The Shadow Tarot Card, Paimon, Spirit of Dark Energy at the Event Horizon. Is the Ace of Swords, in Shadow. In Christian and Hebrew demonology, Paimon is the 9th spirit in the order that Solomon bound them.
Paimon, is supposedly the great infernal king of the west, as the Ace of Swords is of the west. All I can say is that Hell must be a sizable planet, to have so many ruling Kings, Dukes, Barons, Princes, and Governors in the West, East, North and South.

Paimon is also known as Azazel.

Paimon
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. For the Persian name, see Peyman."Labal" redirects here. For the village in Iran, see Labal, Iran. Paimon as depicted in Collin de Plancy's Dictionnaire Infernal, 1863 edition.

According to The Goetia: The Lesser Key of Solomon the KingPaimon is one of the Kings of Hell, more obedient to Lucifer than other kings are, and has two hundred (one hundred to other authors) legions of demons under his rule. He has a great voice and roars as soon as he comes, speaking in this manner for a while, until the conjurer compels him and then he answers clearly the questions he is asked. When the conjurer invokes this demon he must look towards the northwest (the west to other authors), for there is where he has his house, and when Paimon appears he must be allowed to ask what he wishes and be answered, in order to obtain the same from him.
Paimon teaches all arts, philosophy and sciences, and secret things; he can reveal all mysteries of the Earth, wind and water, what the mind is, and everything the conjurer wants to know, gives good familiars, dignities and confirms them, binds men to the conjurer's will. If Paimon is cited alone, some offering or sacrifice must be done, and he will accept it; then two kings called Beball (Bebal or Labal) and Abalam (Abalim) will go to him together with other spirits, often twenty-five legions; but these other spirits do not always come unless the conjurer call upon them. Paimon is depicted as a man with an effeminate face (a strong man with a woman's face according to other authors), wearing a precious crown, and riding a dromedary. Before him often goes a host demons with the shape of men, playing trumpetscymbals, and any other sort of musical instruments.Other spellings: Paimonia
Sources[edit]
Paimon's other name, Azazel is his Hebrew name and means,"God's Messenger". This is the deity who received sacrificial goats on the Jewish Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur, New Year).  Azazel was not originally Hebraic, but Syrian (Cumont,O.R.R.P., 113). And in some rabbinical writings he was called Azel, a subversive angel who stole magical secrets from God and gave them to Eve, thus bringing about the enlightenment of humanity at the cost of God's wrath.  Moslems sometimes gave Azazel's (Paimon) name to the rebellious angel who opposed Allah, though this personage was often called Iblis, or Shaytan.

During the Middle Ages, Azazel was adopted by the Christian demonologists and made one of the Kings of Hell. His name was often cited by exorcists as that of an active, lively possessor, befitting his ancient function as a Hermetic-style "messenger".

For me, and angel that rebels against a slave-god who denies knowledge to "his own images" is a freer of slaves; a regular Spartacus, or Savior. But nothing could be worse to a Monk enslaved by dogma and fear, than such a one.

The Christian monks, back in the middle-ages must have had a lot of bad wine after dinner for their internal nightmares, became artful renditions of other peoples gods or angels.

As for Crowley and Mathers; Crowley and Mathers, both knew that to imply power to the superstitious slave-mind that invents religion to appease a wrathful god, you must have some kind of "supernatural" influence to keep the mob at bay. No one "storms the ramparts" when one fears "demonic forces" will come after them.  There is no greater Demon to the Survival mind than the Unknown! A man's power over another, is purely given by the meekness of the giver. To be loving, is often scoffed at in our world of self-centered, self absorbed fears. So to be "Dangerous" often brings material rewards. Magicians, know about "Smoke and Mirrors", for that is how the illusion of this World is reflected as reality. There really are no greater demons than a man who wishes to rule the minds of the many.

The Universal Collective Unconscious, may be of Dark Energy, but dark doesn't mean evil except to the ignorant who serve fear of the unknown. It just implies absence of visible light. Since the Divine Psyche/Spirit (One is Spirit of the Gods of the Living)  is non reflective of light, it isn't seen, but just as is known of a Dark Hole in Space, attracts and substrates light. This light entering the Dark Hole, can be seen at the "event horizon". We are of Daäth (knowledge), a Dark Hole, in the visible light Psyche. So from the "other side of the Mirror" or The Other side of a Dark Hole, we have come into this dimension of visible light. We are Spirits/Alien life.

Also, "...Spirit of the gods of the living" ("Achath Ruach Elohim Chiim"), implies the Soul/Psyche of those "who from the sky came" and started the DNA union of alien and animal, that created the human body.  These Angels, Annunaki or Nommo, depending on the cultural words, have given us, by genetic manipulation, the "human brain", the layer of cerebral matter on top of the mammal and reptile brain.

The human brain (God-Mind brain) is tuned into the "frequencies of inter-dimensional thought" or "Higher Mind", but only by the higher frequency of individual-unabashed Love is this "tuning in to god" possible. The Kundalini/Serpent/Spiral force must rise up, and stimulate the Pineal gland (in the center of the Hu-Man brain), that then vibrates to the mental frequency of "the gods".  You have inherited unknown knowledge that has travel vast "Oceans of Darkness" to become "enlightened". They didn't go back that vast distance, so they have invented a body that is "the image of god", the Hu-Man. A body they can Manifest their Dreams in.   So stop trying to be a Master, for "trying" means that you do not have it; we are not trying to inherit, we have inherited all that is Knowledge.  Seeking to be what you already are, is similar to a fish in the ocean, searching for water. Silly!  Really, since you already are "enlightened", just remember the Love that you are, and all will become known to you and your memory of "the paradise you left" will come back to you!

Hi Debra, I fear a type-o-, for the reference is to the 22nd Atu which is the "0-The Fool", for it is the "beginning and the end" of the Universe. Thank you for your interest and comments. May you live long and prosper.
